Gary!!! This reminds me of when we ate that whole pot of pansit plus all that shrimp!!!
God knows me inside and out, and he knows me better than I know myself. He showed me that today!
I have graduated with a B.Ed. and have not been working in that field until today. I work as a sub and have gotten 2 calls before today. The first call I had absolutely no control over so I had to decline. The second call was for high school French and it intimidated me so I also declined it. I have also been looking for term positions and have come across a few but always made excuses not to apply.
My prayer request last week was to have more confidence and to trust God for everything! Near the end of the week I applied for two term positions! Talk about immediate answered prayer! It doesn’t stop there!
Usually for subbing I would get a call around 6:30am because school starts at around 8:30am. Today I did not get a call at 6:30am so I went back to sleep. I get a call just before 9am asking me to sub at 10am. Without any hesitation, I accepted the job and got ready right away!! I was a little nervous when I got there because I didn’t know if there was a lesson plan left for me and I didn’t have anything prepared. Once I was shown to the classroom I see my good friend, Sarah! I found out that I was going to be team teaching with her! I also found out that the class I was teaching was a high needs class and that they were behaving better than usual. Sarah showed me around the school and introduced me to different people. It was an awesome day!
-God gave me confidence which allowed me to take the job today
-He knew I slept late and allowed the school to call me at 9am instead of 6am
-He knew that the class I was about to teach had behavioural problems and that I had nothing prepared (neither did the teacher), so He allowed me to team teach with someone…but not just anyone but someone I was comfortable with
-God knew it was my first day and that I was a little rusty so he enabled the kids to behave more than usual
Overall, God pays attention to detail and planned this whole day out without me realizing it until the end of the day when I had a chance to reflect on it.
God answers prayers…and then some!!!
Thank you, Lord, for everything!! I am truly blessed!
